Birdland is the first single from Killem Collective artist Ichikara Valdez’s yet to be titled EP. Focusing on a fusion of house, dance, electronic, Baile Funk, and lo-fi Hip-hop, Birdland is a gritty dance floor single reminiscent of the early 90’s/2000’s house scene, with pulsating 808s and a tribal ferocity. The title of the track itself is an homage to the spirit, demons, virtuosity and fervor of the great Charlie Parker, the jazz saxophone titan whom the legendary club Birdland was named after.
